The recipient couple will sign a contract with Cleveland Conception Connection indicating they wish to work with that donor.

Step 4

Psychiatric Evaluation and Psychological Testing to become an egg donor

Once a donor is selected, the next step to becoming a donor is to meet with psychiatrist, Jennifer Rosenberg., M.D. This meeting is to ensure the donor understands the emotional and psychological ramifications of becoming an egg donor and to discuss any concerns.  Additionally, this will ensure the donor does not feel she has any ties to her donated eggs or to any resulting embryos, fetuses or children. If a donor is married, her spouse is required to attend the psychiatric evaluation. If the donor has a significant other, at the request of Dr. Rosenberg or the recipient couple, they too may be required to meet with Dr. Rosenberg. The donor will also take a psychological test called Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) which is completed on the computer at Dr. Rosenberg’s office. Upon recipient couple request, the donor may be required to take an IQ test or other psychological tests.
